NEW APPLICATION UPDATE:

The Henry E. Niles Foundation is not currently accepting applications from organizations that have never previously applied to the Foundation.

We are receiving a record volume of applications. To manage this volume responsibly and prioritize organizations with an existing application or grant history, we have paused applications from first-time applicants.

Organizations that previously applied but did not receive funding remain eligible to reapply once at least two years have passed since the date of their decline. Returning grantees may continue to apply in accordance with the Foundation’s regular eligibility requirements.

Applicants must accurately indicate whether their organization has previously applied to or received funding from the Foundation. Organizations that identify themselves as returning applicants without a prior application or grant history will be automatically declined and permanently ineligible to submit future applications.

We have not yet determined whether applications from first-time applicants will reopen next year. The Foundation may also revise its eligibility requirements or application process before accepting first-time applicants again.

Please do not email the Foundation to request an exception, join a waiting list, or ask when applications will reopen. Any changes to this policy will be posted on this website.
